: This is one of the major challenges every educationist faces on a regular basis. However, it is not
an impossible task to deal with such a situation. It is important to grab a student’s attention through varied
ways and/or activities which are different from the regular, mundane and monotonous sessions. ISL CC
engages in the same, be it in the form of ‘flip classes’, ‘share and dare’, or ‘quiz and win’, etc. Also,
another effective way is engaging children. Not only do these unusual techniques engage students for the
class, they help them gradually get rid of their hesitations of public speaking as well, thus, enhancing their
personalities further.
The attention span of my ward is very short. Irrespective of how engaging a class is, he/she loses interest too soon. How should an educationist handle such a circumstance?
